Crossroads competes in Cross-Country Meet

Cross Country Team

Our third, fourth, and fifth graders are competing in the MULE (Madera Unified League of Elementary) Sports cross-country meets. Friday, March 07, we traveled to Madera South High to compete where our own Jake Ross finished 20th out of about 190 3rd and 4th grade boys. All three of our girls finished in the top third of the girls’ pack. Congratulations to all our runners on completing the race. They are a good example of what is written in the book of Philippians…”I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Next Friday we travel to Town and Country Park where the meet begins at 10:00am.

GO CRUSADERS!!

Eighteen students from Crossroads Christian School have competed in the Association of Christian Schools International Regional Spelling Bee. Crossroads Christian was delighted to host 6 visiting schools from Selma to Sacramento. Fifth through eighth grade Spelling Bee took place in January and first through fourth took place in February. Crossroads’ own 7th grader, Kaylee Hatfield, will go on to compete on March 13, in Elk Grove, at the next level in the District Spelling Bee! “All of our kids did a great job this year and worked really hard. We give God the glory for what He has done with the Spelling Bee this year, and we hope for a great year next year!” commented third grade teacher Mrs. Schroeder.
