A Thanksgiving Proclamation
A THANKSGIVING PROCLAMATION 2011
by PATTY DOUGHERTY, THE PRINCIPAL OF CROSSROADS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
WHEREAS God’s Word commands us to “enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; to give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.” (Psalm 100:4-5)…
AND WHEREAS God has blessed this school with 13 successful years of operation, with hundreds of students passing through its classrooms, with caring staff to teach, pray, and disciple students, with leadership committed to serving God in this ministry, with giving parents dedicated to their children’s spiritual and academic well-being, and with the guidance and direction of His Holy Spirit…
AND WHEREAS we have not always obeyed the Lord in our thoughts, our words, and our actions. All we, like sheep, have gone astray. We have turned each one to his own way. We have not loved Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength or loved our neighbor as ourselves. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God…
THEREFORE, I invite all students and staff of this school to set aside time on Tuesday morning, November 22, to offer up praise and thanksgiving to God and to write a personal proclamation or psalm of thanksgiving for the many blessings He has given to us
