Spelling Bee Honors
Sixteen students from Crossroads Christian School recently competed in the Association of Christian Schools International Regional Spelling Bee. Crossroads hosted visiting schools from Reedley, Selma, Kerman, Merced, and Modesto for the two day event. “All of our kids did a great job and worked really hard. We give God the glory for what He is doing in our students this year, and we hope for a great year next year!” commented third grade teacher Mrs. Schroeder. Students compete with other students at their grade level. Crossroads’ ribbon winners included: Jade Jardenil (8thgrade), Morgan Bautista (6th grade), and Abigail Taylor (4th grade) who took 4th place; Ashley Scriven (7th grade), Tanya Shinen (6th grade), and Geno Nomicos (2nd grade) who took 3rd place; Ashley Brar (4th grade) and Jauslien Brar (2nd grade) who took 2nd place; and Madison Mendoza (3rd grade) and Timmy Satteson (1st grade) who took first place.
