Our Programs

Crusader Care

After school care is available daily until 5:30 pm.  Our Crusader Care director provides indoor and outdoor activities to keep children engaged and active.  Homework may also be done during Crusader Care.  An afternoon snack is provided.  The cost is $3.00 per hour.  Before school care may be arranged on an individual basis if necessary.

Chapel

Chapel is held every Wednesday for all students.  This is a time for students to be challenged in their walk with the Lord through worship and relevant lessons.  Chapel is sometimes split up by age group – K-1; 2-4; and 5-8 grades.   Teachers and staff as well as youth pastors and other ministry leaders from the community provide meaningful messages and music.  Assemblies are held in conjunction with chapel periodically throughout the year.  Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Physical Education and Athletics

First – fourth graders attend P.E. class twice weekly with our P.E. Specialist.  Fifth-eighth graders attend daily.  Fifth – eighth graders also participate in the Madera Unified League of Elementary School athletics in girls and boys volleyball, basketball, soccer, and flag football.  Our third-eighth graders also participate in cross country.

Music and Drama

Music class is held weekly for students in grades 1 – 6.  Dramatic skits and readers theater opportunities are made available in K – 6 classes.  An annual Christmas musical production is put on by students.  Interested students are also involved in worship leadership with our worship band and worship choir during chapel.   Drama Club meets weekly after school and performs at various times throughout the year.
