Junior High

7th & 8th

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

-1 Timothy 4:12

For the important and sometimes difficult transition students make from elementary to junior high school, Crossroads Christian School's junior high school has created a caring, Christ-centered atmosphere. As the students move toward independent thinking and an awareness of culture and society around them, the teachers and administrator who have a particular love for students of this age provide guidance for them.

The emphasis in the junior high school is one of encouragement and acceptance as students are challenged to do their best academically and to express themselves in appropriate ways. Social activities are designed for whole group involvement. The competative spirit so characteristic of junior highers is channeled toward building loyalty to their fellow students and to their school.

The academic and disciplinary procedures of the junior high school take into account the special needs of students of this age. The staff works closely with parents to ensure that each student's particular needs are understood. Electives are an important part of the curriculum. The physical education classes emphasize participation by everyone.

During the junior high years, students make important decisions about the years to come. The Christian perspective that permeates the entire curriculum of CCS provides the basis for which our junior high school students learn to make good life decisions.
