Mrs. Vanessa Murillo

Hi! My name is Vanessa Murillo (Mrs. Murillo), and I’m so excited to begin my first year teaching 6th grade at Crossroads Christian School. I feel truly blessed to be part of a Christian school where I can share my faith while helping students grow both academically and spiritually.

I’ll be teaching all subjects this year, and I bring a strong background in science—I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with an emphasis in Immunology and Microbiology. I have a deep love for hands-on learning and enjoy finding creative ways to make lessons come alive in the classroom.

Outside of teaching, I love to draw, paint, crochet, and play soccer. I’m especially passionate about encouraging students to explore their creativity and think outside the box. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year of learning, discovery, and building strong connections with my students and their families!

My favorite Bible verse is: Romans 5:1-5: 

"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering gproduces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love ihas been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."
